Micro review of Sennheiser LX70 headphones ****
I've finally given up on buying super cheap headphones, even for my
daily bicycle commute and gym activities. I used to purchase $10
overstock headphones from a dodgy store on Queen Street in Toronto,
but after buying pairs that lasted less than a month and sounded like
crap for the entire time, I've decided to purchase some more
respectable headphones made by the illustrious Sennheiser. The
particular ones I have are the Sennheiser LX70 ear bud version, and
after several months of torture testing I'm pretty pleased. The sound
quality is good, they seem to be able to take as much rain or sweat as
I can throw at them, they stay in the ear relatively well, and fit the
ear well (at least, for me). My only complaint is that the rubber on
the earbud can be (too) easily removed, and you only have a single
replacement set of rubber parts. This rubber is essential the
construction of the headphones and if you lose it you'll be basically
unable to use the headphones---not a good thing when the rubber can
peel off without notice while pulling the headphones out of a bag. All
in all, I'd give these headphones 4 out of 5 stars, and they are a
great buy if you want some reasonable priced, sporty headphones that
sound pretty fair.
